How To Get Textra On Galaxy Watch

Does anyone utilise Textra as there messaging app on there phone? I have Textra and I am having trouble using it with my watch? When I get a text on the watch and go to reply it won't go thru unless I unlock my phone. Anyone else having this problem with Textra or whatsoever other messaging app?

For it to piece of work properly, you need a SMS app with a dedicated Tizen sentinel SMS app. Eg Samsung Messages, Pulse.

For instance I employ pulse currently and use it for receiving and replying due to the fact for some reason the pulse app on the phone never works... Always only does there loading and never coming upwards. That's why I just desire to use it for receiving and to reply, and that'south why I want to use Textra only for some reason it won't reply

Textra is awesome. I had used information technology for years. Only to exist honest, with the trade off of having fully functional SMS on the lookout, I don't really miss information technology now I'm on Samsung Messages.

The Pulse App works fine. The phone app is free but you accept to pay, sign upwards and get a proper name and password for the app to work on the scout. I use it every day (Bluetooth) everyday. The name and password likewise allows you lot to install it in a pc. I am on latest firmware. Not sure if the update is needed for it.

Textra is awesome. I had used it for years. But to be honest, with the trade off of having fully functional SMS on the watch, I don't really miss it at present I'g on Samsung Letters.

I did all that, but when I go on to the app on the telephone I only get a white screen and the loading circle then it's kind of useless

True. You have to go into the habit of clicking 'Mark as Read' on notifications where as a simple swipe will suffice in Textra.
Yous can besides mark all as read if yous've forgotten to practice then.
But information technology's extra stuff to have to do.

Weird. I get that for a few seconds and then it loads. Not sure what to advise but maybe Uninstall, reboot the lookout man so endeavor installing it once again. I wonder if you are running out of memory. Before starting it make certain you shut all apps in tbe menu. Beyond that I have no suggestions why it works for me and not for you. I do not have many apps on my watch.

No, I meant from the telephone app....
As far equally I can tell, if you open a notification on the watch, it will be marked as read. If yous open the full South Messages app on the telephone, it will be marked as read. If y'all accept a notification on your shade on the phone, it will non be marked every bit read unless you lot do one of the to a higher place, or mark it as read from the phone notification button.

Finer, badges will remain for whatever texts yous haven't opened (or pressed the marked as read button) fifty-fifty though you have received them and accept 'seen' the texts via notification, just without opening either the app or pressing the notification on the watch (or dismissing information technology).

I use textra on my phone and have no issue sending texts on my spotter. The watch says you need to change default messaging app but I never practise.

Yes agreed, I practise the aforementioned thing just for some reason.... And not all the time, when I reply to a message it doesn't become until I become to my telephone and unlock information technology. Very very weird and like I said only a couple of times it does this, but when it does it I accept no idea that the message didn't get thru until I go to my telephone and unlock it so information technology goes thru. It'due south then weird that it's hard to explain....I went back to using Textra and for 2 days now it only happened once and so I'm hoping any glich it has will start to work information technology's manner out
